Low clouds can cause reduced visibility in the airport terminal area, affecting the safety of aircraft takeoff and landing. In flight support, real-time and accurate reporting of cloud information is required, so effective measurement of cloud information is particularly important.

Cloud scanning strategy

The cloud lidar uses RHI mode to measure cloud height and amount, with a scanning elevation angle of 45 °~135 ° and scanning directions of South North and East West. A complete scanning cycle includes two RHI scans, South North and East West.
